On June 25th, the 76th anniversary of the Korean War, we spent our day swept up in the fervent heat of the World Cup and the disappointment of a defeat. However, the reason we are able to passionately cheer and safely return to our ordinary lives is entirely due to the noble, red sacrifices of the young souls resting beneath nameless mounds of stone 76 years ago.
