타는 듯한 아마고사 사막의 한가운데, 길을 잃은 남자가 발견한 것은 녹슨 펌프와 '물 한 병', 그리고 바랜 쪽지 하나였습니다. 당장의 갈증을 채우고픈 본능을 이겨내고 이름 모를 누군가의 메시지를 믿었을 때, 메마른 펌프에서는 마침내 시원한 생명수가 쏟아졌습니다.

천장에 매달린 이 물 한 병은 단순한 물이 아닙니다. 앞서 지나간 수많은 사람들이 자신의 갈증을 해결한 뒤, 다음 사람을 위해 기꺼이 다시 채워 놓은 '신뢰의 유산' 입니다.

우리의 삶 역시 마찬가지입니다. 우리가 오늘을 살아갈 수 있는 것은 스승과 선배, 그리고 이름 없는 수많은 이들이 남겨둔 지혜와 양심 덕분입니다. 언젠가 우리도 이 길을 떠날 때, 다음 세대를 위해 따뜻한 '물 한 병'을 채워두고 갈 수 있다면 얼마나 좋을까요?

"Should I drink this water right now to save my life, or should I pour it into the pump for the next person?" 

Hello, we are the Torch Scholarship Foundation, lighting up the dark places of the world. 

In the middle of the scorching Amargosa Desert, what a lost man found was a rusty pump, a 'bottle of water,' and a faded note. When he overcame his instinct to quench his immediate thirst and chose to trust the message of an unknown stranger, cool, life-saving water finally poured out from the dry pump.

This bottle of water hanging from the ceiling is not just water. It is a 'legacy of trust' that countless people who passed by before have willingly refilled for the next person after quenching their own thirst.

Our lives are much the same. The reason we are able to live today is thanks to the wisdom and conscience left behind by our teachers, seniors, and countless unnamed people. When the time comes for us to leave this path, how wonderful would it be if we could leave behind a warm 'bottle of water' for the next generation?

We hope that this movie-like fable, accompanied by a grand and beautiful orchestral melody, brings a small comfort and deep resonance to the hearts of our members. In this exceptionally hot August, we earnestly pray that you always remain strong and peaceful despite the sweltering heat.
