아침저녁으로 스치는 선선한 바람이 반가운 9월입니다. 이번 달 안부서신은 양광모 시인의 애틋한 시 "9월의 기도"낭독으로 문을 엽니다.
지난 8월, 우리는 유난히 혹독한 폭염과 홍수를 견뎌내야 했고, 멀리 네팔에서는 빙하 붕괴로 인한 안타까운 참사가 있었습니다. 이는 지구가 우리에게 보내는 엄중한 경고일지도 모릅니다. 기후 변화는 더 이상 먼 미래의 이야기가 아니라, 지금 당장 우리가 에너지 절약과 자연 보호 등 작은 실천으로 응답해야 할 우리의 현실입니다.
쓸쓸하면서도 따뜻한 하모니카와 통기타 선율을 들으시며, 아름다운 지구를 다음 세대에게 물려주기 위해 우리가 할 수 있는 작은 일들을 다짐해 보는 시간이 되기를 바랍니다.

Greetings to all members of the Torchlight Scholarship Foundation.
September is here, bringing welcome cool breezes in the mornings and evenings. We open this month's greeting letter with a reading of poet Yang Kwang-mo's poignant poem, "A September Prayer."
Last August, we had to endure an unusually severe heatwave and floods, and far away in Nepal, there was a tragic disaster caused by a glacial collapse. This may be a solemn warning the Earth is sending us. Climate change is no longer a story of the distant future, but our reality that we must respond to right now through small actions like conserving energy and protecting nature.
As you listen to the melancholic yet warm melodies of the harmonica and acoustic guitar, we hope this will be a time to reflect and commit to the small steps we can take to pass on a beautiful Earth to the next generation.
. With the upcoming Chuseok (Mid-Autumn Festival) approaching, we sincerely wish you a bright and harmonious holiday with your beloved family.
